Royalties are simple. When we post and sell copies of your checklists we pay you a minimum of 50% of the revenues! Checks are cut four times per year, at every quarter. You can also watch your royalties accumulate by logging onto your My Account page.

Is 50% fair? Only a handful of traditional book Authors get 10-25% royalties for their works from major publishing houses. E-book Authors are now getting 50% royalties though not everyone is allowed to publish. If your checklists are good we will post your checklists and you will earn at least 50% royalties on every item. If you want higher royalties then check out Royalty Increases!

Does it add up? Consider what your checklists are making you now. (Zero perhaps?) Here are some calculations used to illustrate the typical method for payment calculations and how quickly your royalties could accumulate.

Though this example is neither a promise nor guarantee of similar results, it shows how simple the royalty formula is. The example contract durations and percentages were obtained from the July 2003 values.

How Royalties are Calculated

Precision Controls Commissioning Checklist Final Price¹: $28

Copies sold per quarter year: 100

1. Final price = original price minus any sales or discount offers
2. Maximum royalty for any content item, through any single or combination of offerings, is 60%
3. Some bump durations vary depending on offer
4. Royalty checks are mailed quarterly
5. Royalties are subject to all applicable Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules and regulations

Royalty Increases!

We currently have four (4) ways for you to increase your royalties:

• Top 10 Most Wanted
• Authors Finders Fees
• Monthly Topic Specials
• Private Offers

We ask Authors for specific checklists. If they respond quickly we “bump up their royalties”, either on newly submitted checklists or all previously submitted checklists! We will reward both quantity and quality efforts.

Current Royalty Bump Schedule These are our current bumps (offers) in contract durations and royalties for those providing us with desired checklists. This list is subject to change so check it often.

Top 10 Most Wanted: Customers often request content that isn’t yet in our catalog. Our response is to compile and post their top requests on our Top 10 Most Wanted list. Next to the each item on the Top 10 list is a code. Enter the appropriate code at the time of your submission and you will earn at least 55% royalties on each sale!!

Authors Finders Fee: Just tell a friend or colleague about our site. Be sure to tell them to mention your name when they submit their very first checklist. For each first time Author that gives us your name we will increase ALL your existing and new checklist royalties by an extra one percent (1%) for a full year. (Details Below)

Monthly Newsletter Topics: Each month we will write about cool issues and uses for checklists. If anyone submits a checklist closely tied to that subject we will give them extra royalties! A special code is required to identify your desire for the extra royalties!

Special Assignments/Private Offers: We reward our best Authors for both quantity and quality of submitted works. A private bump code will be emailed to you if you are one of our best. You will gain amazing royalties for your checklists submitted with these special “bump codes”.

Lastly, be sure you qualify for bumps! We review all works to be sure they are eligible for incentives. Be sure to carefully type the correct code. Failure to enter the correct code may cause the bump to be rejected. Entering codes that have little or no relation to your checklist submission will cause the bump and possibly your checklist to be rejected. Continuous abuse of sending incorrect codes will result in termination of your web site use.

Author Finder's Fee Details

Just tell a friend or colleague about our site. Be sure to tell them to mention your name when they submit their very first checklist. For each first time Author that gives us your name we will increase ALL your existing and new checklist royalties by an extra one percent (1%) for a full year. That’s right – ALL your checklists!

How Finders Fee's Work

If 1 new Author joins us and they provide us your name you will receive 51% royalties¹ on ALL your checklists for the next year. If you have 20 checklists in our catalog ALL of them will be changed to a 51% royalty rate!

If 5 people become Authors and all provide us your name you will receive 55% royalties¹ on ALL your checklists for the next year.

¹ This offer can also include other specials and bumps. Maximum royalty rate for any single checklist shall never exceed 60%.

The maximum finders’ fee is five (5) people, five (5) percent royalty bump on all your checklists. Why just five people? We limit you to five people per year so we don’t stress you out finding more than five people to be Authors. Five should be an easy number to accomplish.

After one year expires on your first referred Author, and you had five Authors earning you and extra 5% royalties, then your royalties will now settle back to 54%. Expire two Authors = 53%, etc.

How do you keep your royalties “max’d out”? We will either contact you via email or show you on your “My Account” page when your Finders’ Fees are about to expire. When you are losing 1 person, simply recruit a new Author to replace them. By continuously referring new Authors your royalties will remain at “max finders’ fees”.

What Every New Author May Want to Know

Your buddy, an existing Author with us, is entitled to a reward for encouraging you to become a brand new Checklist Author. If you are submitting your very first checklist with us then please tell us the person's name who told you about us. We want to tell them “thanks” by giving him better royalties.

The reward to your friend does NOT affect or reduce your royalty in any way. And, once you submit your first checklist, you too can start earning Finders Fees.

Posting Checklists for Limited Advertising

How it works

• Read our Advertising Policy
• Provide only complete and useful checklists and materials. We do not accept “teases” or half-checklists to lure customers to your site. We believe great works will drive people to your site naturally and not repel them when they realize they’ve been suckered.
• We are doing our best to consolidate checklists into a central library rather than leave them fragmented all over the Internet. Therefore, you can NOT sell or give away checklists on your web site except those required for actual services and project work. If every web site offered a few checklists then all checklist information for the industry would remain fragmented.
• As you submit your works you will be asked to check a box that in essence states, “You wish to exchange your royalties for advertising for one year”. At the end of one year you will be contacted and asked to renew or convert your advertising content to non-advertising content (royalties paid out).
• All normal Author functions and procedures apply to those wishing to advertise. You have your own “My Account” page to monitor how many sales your checklists are generating. This number is useful for monitoring the effectiveness of your advertising; how many sales were made versus how many people actually contacted your office for more information or services? Your “Royalties Earned” will always be zero.

Getting Paid

Authors will be sent a check each quarter for any royalties they have earned for the previous quarter. Checks will be sent within 1-2 weeks from the last day of each quarter.

In order to receive a royalty check we must have your correct mailing address and social security number. Without these two critical items we can not pay you.

We will do our best to contact you if you have not provided us with sufficient information to send you your royalty checks, though it is primarily your responsibility to provide us the information we require. If you do not provide the required information for us to send you your checks we will only hold your money only for one additional quarter.

It means if we owe you a royalty check of $1,000 for 1st quarter 2003, we will hold the money till the end of 2nd quarter 2003. At that time, the money you earned will revert back to us. Please provide us with all the required information. We want to pay YOU!

End of the Year

At the end of each calendar year we will provide each author:

• A 1099 form showing the Author’s annual earnings (a copy is also sent to the IRS),
• An itemized statement of sales and earnings for each checklist, for your records.
